The DataType Grid has this issue.
I add a new row: click to Add button, type text, then click to Add to confirm.
I look the new row inside the grid.
Without click to save button, I try to add a new row clicking on Add button. I look a page refresh, then the previous row is lost.

I can resolve the issue clicking Save button for every change.

I creates a DataTypeGrid (DTG) datatype with two column: one textstring and one ContentPicker.
I add a property of this new DTG type to a DocumentType.

I want to edit a content that has this DTG type, but I can add only one row to the DTG property without Save or Publish the content, because it forgets the previous change.

For example:
* I add a new row
* I click the add button. In this case the previously added row disappears

Another scenario:

* I click the Save button (on the content)

Relation Links just reads back existing relationships (i.e what pickers have picked this document)
and as far as I can tell this currently works only to show this relationship in the back end (for editors piece of mind ease of use etc).
but it would be great for it to also store an xml fragment of the relationship (comma separated id's) so that you use it on the front end more easily. For example an xpath query on a set of nodes where you could group them according to what RelationLinks id's are stored.

hope the above makes sense.

When I select a Media item or Member in a DTG instance and then remove the Media item / Member from Umbraco (Media -> remove ánd remove from recycle bin), the DTG gives a YSOD.
See the attached screenshot.
Comments: Sorry for not mentioning the version information. I've ran into this issue using umbraco v4.11.7 and uComponents v5.4.1.

Closed Issue: Datatype grid buttons always delete [14811]

When I click add, edit, moveup, movedown buttons, the right panel of umbraco refreshes and my previously added item is gone. So right now the most that I can have in the grid is 1 item and cannot edit it.

Hello,
Love the DTG. In a way it feels just like the "Container Document Types" that were mocked up and discussed for the umbraco core a while ago and solves similar problems for me.

What I would like to be able to do, is use the DTG exactly as it is, but I want there to be a "natural order" to the rows. (Just like our nodes in the tree.) I want users to be able to sort individual rows by clicking the little up & down arrows, but I do NOT in certain cases want them clicking on the headers to re-sort the whole table.

In fact, I've always found this a little confusing because then I wonder why there are little up & down arrows anyway, if every time you click on a column header, the whole thing gets re-ordered. Then when you click up or down, what actually are you sorting? Maybe another related feature request would be another option to remove the up & down arrow buttons if you truly don't care about the order. In any case, thanks for considering this!
